Nebraska Cosmetology License Requirements

The licensee may use following course for independent study. A maximum of two (2) hours of independent study is allowed for cosmetology license renewal.

Credit Hours Required:

Eight (8) hours biennial

The licensee must complete a minimum of four (4) hours of mandatory courses approved by Nebraska Department of Regulation and Licensure and four (4) hours on additional topics.

All licenses must be renewed by 12/31 in even years

Independent study must be related to either Nebraska cosmetology law and administrative rules or sanitation.
