Cosmetology License Requirements

In addition to providing top quality education for stylists and salon owners, Modern Salon Learning courses are being submitted to state cosmetology boards that require continuing education for cosmetology license renewal. Once approved, these courses can be utilized to fulfill continuing education requirements for cosmetology license renewal.

The following is a list of states that require continuing education for cosmetology license renewal and allow on-line education to satisfy the cosmetology license requirements. After each state is a listing of the hours required and the status of approval for Modern Salon Learning courses.

Texas Continuing Education Hours Required for Cosmetology License Renewal: 8

Status of Modern Salon Learning in Georgia: Modern Salon Learning is in the process of being approved in the state of Georgia.

Illinois Continuing Education Hours Required for Cosmetology License Renewal: 14
Status of Modern Salon Learning in Illinois: Modern Salon Learning is in the process of being approved in the state of Illinois.

Iowa Continuing Education Hours Required for Cosmetology License Renewal: 12
Status of Modern Salon Learning in Iowa: Modern Salon Learning is in the process of being approved in the state of Iowa.

Kentucky Continuing Education Hours Required for Cosmetology License Renewal: 6
Status of Modern Salon Learning in Kentucky: Modern Salon Learning is in the process of being approved in the state of Kentucky.

Nebraska Continuing Education Hours Required for Cosmetology License Renewal: 8
The licensee must complete a minimum of four (4) hours of mandatory courses approved by Nebraska Department of Regulation and Licensure and four (4) hours on additional topics. The licensee may use Modern Salon Learning Courses for independent study. A maximum of two (2) hours of independent study is allowed for cosmetology license renewal.

North Carolina Continuing Education Hours Required for Cosmetology License Renewal: 24
Status of Modern Salon Learning in North Carolina: Modern Salon Learning is in the process of being approved in the state of Nebraska.

Ohio Continuing Education Hours Required for Cosmetology License Renewal: 8
