Let Clients Create Online Hairstyling Buzz For You!

For a previous post, I researching how good hair education can make you a “hair whisperer,” when I came upon an online review of a salon in Georgia, the Purple Cow, that blew me away. This is how you want first-time clients to feel when they leave your chair and what you want them to say about you:

“I loved them....My appointment was with Jennifer....She talked with me and asked me a lot of questions. She knew I was ready for a change. She gave me the cutest short haircut. It was so cute! I didn’t think I could style it like she did so she took the time to teach me how. I left and a few days later I stopped in because I couldn’t style it. She asked me to show her what I was doing....She showed me by making me do it and correcting me when I went the wrong way. I knew then I had found my salon. I will never go anywhere else.”

The client also liked the salon’s name and decor, but what gave her the confidence that she’d “found” her salon? The stylist delivered a great cut and then followed through with top customer service that made sure the client could recreate the look at home by herself. It’s so important to pass along targeted hair styling education that clients can handle. That’s how you get those five-star reviews!
